TheWorldDubai-customWe are convinced that the world as God created it was perfect in every way; pristine, peaceful, without conflict, turmoil and death. (Genesis 1:31) The first man and woman had an unbroken connection with God and lived in perfect harmony with Him. But sadly, Adam and Eve were drawn away from God by Satan and were led to disobey Him. (Read the whole story at Genesis 2-3) As a tragic consequence of their sin, Adam and Eve lost their connection with God. They not only lost their connection, but something died inside of them; they lost their capacity to live with God and were driven from His presence. (Genesis 3:17-19, 24) Satan, sin and death now blocked man’s way to God. Adam’s sin had cosmic implications and the entire universe fell into decay, disintegration and death. The ultimate consequence of sin—death—has now spread to all men, (Rom. 5:12) and the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs as it waits to be released from bondage into glorious liberty. (Rom. 8:21) One day—and we are convinced it will be soon—the universe will be restored to a state of perfection, pristine and glorious. (2 Peter 3:13)
